Due to new measures introduced by the senior university management, the conference Promoting Diversity at AU on Friday 13 March is postponed.
The new measures include that all events that are not critical to education, research and consultancy must be cancelled or postponed. This also applies to events with under 1000 participants, and to events organised by Aarhus University as well as events held at Aarhus University by external organisers.
As soon as a new date is set, you will be informed.
The Committee for Diversity and Equality at Aarhus University invites leaders at all levels, staff and students to a one-day conference on how we can succeed in promoting diversity at AU.
The conference will take place on Friday, 13 March 2020 from 9:30-14:30.
At the conference, the main focus areas in the forthcoming action plan for diversity and equality at AU will be presented. The aim of the conference is to discuss how management and employees can promote diversity through actions in relation to workplace culture, recruitment, career development and management. At the conference the Committee for Diversity and Equality will furthermore launch a consultation process for the action plan.
The conference will begin with a plenary session in the Main Hall with two keynote speakers:
- Professor Jo Silvester, Loughborough University Business School (UK)
- Professor Jens Hjorth, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.
Moderator: Journalist Nynne Bjerre Christensen
Following lunch, there will be four breakout sessions – one for each faculty (Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences will have a joint session).
Each faculty will be responsible for conducting its own session and will focus on a specific issue of relevance.
You can see the programme for the different sessions here
