Children and books c. 1750-1850

Results and reflections from recent research

The Seminar will mark the end of the Research project “Children and Books – Enterprises and Encounters. Studies into the production, uses and experiences of books for children in Denmark c. 1790-1850”, financed by the Independent Research Fund Denmark. The project has been running 2016-2019.
At the seminar, five researchers will present results and perspectives from recent research into children and books in the 18th and 19th centuries: two invited experts, Prof. Matthew O. Grenby, Newcastle University, and Courtney Weikle-Mills, University of Pittsburgh, and the three participants in the Danish project, Charlotte Appel, Nina Christensen, and Karoline Baden Staffensen.
